As representatives of the sign, graphics and visual communication industry, we're always looking to keep our members interest piqued on any relevant and "cool" installations and applications.
We reached out to OUTFRONT Media to learn more about an impressively large sign outside the National Geographic Society headquarters and museum in downtown Washington, DC.
One might say this sign is gigantic, or even, "titanic."
As they say, you just can’t miss something this big. The 100 foot tall by 100 foot wide sign was installed by OUTFRONT Media's install crew at Art Display. They worked with ABC Imaging to print the sign using Durst Rho 500 on 10,000 square feet of Ultraflex Supreme 9 oz mesh!
The sign features an actual size printing of the Titanic ship that tragically sank on its maiden voyage to promote a new exhibition open at the National Geographic Museum, "Titanic: The Untold Story."
While the exhibit is open through the end of the year, the Titanic sign installation changed out on August 24.
Our hearts will go on.
