Ramsay Signs, an established company with multiple satellite locations seeks an Art and Design Coordinator for either our Portland or Seattle location. The Art & Designer Coordinator is capable of interpreting and taking direction from written or spoken ideas and translates them seamlessly and efficiently into images, layouts, elevations, sections and other design details as well as providing similar direction to other designers to execute.
This position has workload delegation, design production scheduling, quality control and department staff performance supervisory responsibilities.
The successful candidate must have an intimate understanding of how integral and important the design and engineering process is within the sign industry and in the support of our achieving our customers’ needs and objectives successfully.

Responsible for regularly reviewing, analyzing and distributing incoming design requests to best qualified staff resource to execute deigns within budgeted hours and aligned with project delivery schedule.
Ensures balanced workload of all staff while maintaining consistent staff resource assignments to regular account requests.
Maintains design production schedule and project status in order to regularly report to management and related dependent departments
Ensures entire design team is executing effective quality control processes to minimize rework generated from errors or omissions in design specifications
Establishes and enforces the utilization of appropriate and consistent documentation standards of title blocks, construction details, material specifications and approval forms
Skills, Experience & Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related discipline
5+ years’ experience in professional graphic design position, preferably with a sign company or creative agency, and with accomplished supervisory responsibility.
Exhibits personal portfolio demonstrating conceptual, design and technical construction abilities.
